DESCRIPTION: May 04 – 2023 League Night Kick OFF – 6:30pm \n MONTHLY TOURNAMENT DATES TO BE DETERMINED \nPlease contact Tyler Summers with questions\, sign-ups\, or discussion. \nTyler Summers      717.404.2813     horseshoe@greencastlesportsman.com \nNEW MEMBERS are required to establish a ringer percentage by pitching 50 shoes. A percentage is obtained by dividing the number of ringers pitched by the number of shoes pitched. For example– 10 ringers out of 50 shoes pitched equals a 20% average. \nFor our returning pitchers from 2022\, their final year end percentage carries over to the new year. \nOur rule for establishing a two person team in the league is paring the highest ringer percentage pitcher with the lowest percentage person\, second highest paired with the second lowest and so on. \nTeam League competition consist of (3) three\, 30 point games. Ringers and shoes pitched are recorded for each game by a provided score sheet. NHPA rules govern the games and with GSA by-laws governing code of conduct and sportsmanship. \nWE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE COURTS !!

SUMMARY:FISHERY ENHANCEMENT CATCH AND RELEASE 2023
DESCRIPTION:FISHERY ENHANCEMENT\n** GOAL** Panel 2: Balanced pond.\nThis is the best situation for good fishing of both species. \nCATCH AND RELEASE ONLY – PANFISH – ALL BASS LARGER THAN 11″ – CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY \nThe first goal in the management of the fish population in any water body is to\nmatch the proper predator fish with the proper forage fish.\nOnce this is accomplished\, the object is to manage the forage fish population to produce large\nnumbers of young fish on which the predators can feed. \nResults of the fish population survey indicate that the fish population is what would\nbe classified as out of balance.  This the same situation that has occurred the last few years. \nIt appears that fishermen have been harvesting the larger bass\, 11”+\, from the lake.\nThese 11″+ bass are now protected from harvest and need to remain in the lake. \nContinuing to harvest these larger bass will have a continued negative impact on the overall fishery.\nThe predator fish must be maintained in larger numbers to prevent the forage fish from overpopulating.
