DESCRIPTION:These one-day Junior Game Warden Camps will offer youth ages 11 to 15 a structured\, fun-filled day learning about the career of a Pennsylvania State Game Warden. Campers will spend the day with game wardens gaining insight to one of the most unique\, diverse and exciting careers in the field of wildlife conservation. \nhttps://www.register-ed.com/events/view/199286 \nThe day will begin with a general overview of the Pennsylvania Game Commission and its mission. Then\, campers will join wardens for some light physical fitness and confidence building prior to hands-on learning stations. Campers will learn about wildlife forensics and methods used by wardens to catch poachers and solve wildlife-related crimes. Other activities will involve wildlife capture techniques for nuisance complaints and research; woodland tracking; and outdoor survival. Attendees will get a glimpse of what it is like to work on the Thin Green Line as a Pennsylvania State Game Warden. \nSpecial take home items\, bottled water and bag lunch will be provided. For example– 10 ringers out of 50 shoes pitched equals a 20% average. \nFor our returning pitchers from 2022\, their final year end percentage carries over to the new year. \nOur rule for establishing a two person team in the league is paring the highest ringer percentage pitcher with the lowest percentage person\, second highest paired with the second lowest and so on. \nTeam League competition consist of (3) three\, 30 point games. Ringers and shoes pitched are recorded for each game by a provided score sheet. NHPA rules govern the games and with GSA by-laws governing code of conduct and sportsmanship. \nWE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE COURTS !!

DESCRIPTION:Planktonic algae blooms are considered desirable as the beginning of the pond food chain. In fact\, fertilization programs are often used to promote algae blooms to thereby support a larger fish population. Planktonic algae is desirable for shading the pond bottom (in areas over 2 feet deep). This shading suppresses the establishment of rooted aquatic plants. However\, to much planktonic algae can cause oxygen depletions and fish kills (see Management Options).

DESCRIPTION:Planktonic algae blooms are considered desirable as the beginning of the pond food chain. In fact\, fertilization programs are often used to promote algae blooms to thereby support a larger fish population. Planktonic algae is desirable for shading the pond bottom (in areas over 2 feet deep). This shading suppresses the establishment of rooted aquatic plants. However\, to much planktonic algae can cause oxygen depletions and fish kills (see Management Options).

A percentage is obtained by dividing the number of ringers pitched by the number of shoes pitched. For example– 10 ringers out of 50 shoes pitched equals a 20% average. \nFor our returning pitchers from 2022\, their final year end percentage carries over to the new year. \nOur rule for establishing a two person team in the league is paring the highest ringer percentage pitcher with the lowest percentage person\, second highest paired with the second lowest and so on. \nTeam League competition consist of (3) three\, 30 point games. Ringers and shoes pitched are recorded for each game by a provided score sheet. NHPA rules govern the games and with GSA by-laws governing code of conduct and sportsmanship. \nWE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE COURTS !!
